Team stories: Amy Clews

At Clear Accountancy, we like to make time for regular chats with our team to see how they’re getting on. Today, we sat down with Amy Clews, our Client & Practice Manager to see how her time at Clear Accountancy is going and how she would describe the working environment.

How did you get into the Finance industry?

My journey into Finance was unplanned actually. I was keen to find a professional role where I could achieve on-the-job qualifications and after looking into accountancy, it seemed like the perfect fit for me. I found a position at Clear, and the rest is history!

How have Clear Accountancy supported you to develop a career in Finance?

Clear Accountancy have supported me every step of the way. Having the opportunity to study alongside working has helped me increase my knowledge of the industry and become more confident in my role. I’ve been given the chance to work on various different types of projects, allowing me to grow and find my strengths.

Have you gained any new qualifications since starting at Clear Accountancy?

Yes, with the option to study made available to me, I worked through the course and sat my final ACCA exam shortly after joining.

What’s a typical day like at Clear Accountancy?

In two words – active and varied. There are no two days the same at Clear, and one of my favourite things about the job is the diversity of work and the freedom to explore different projects.

What do the team do to wind down?

As a team, we all get along really well and make time to meet up outside of the work environment whenever we can. I think this is what helps us gel so well in the office too. We head out for group meals along with various other social events throughout the year.

What’s the best thing about working at Clear Accountancy?

The best thing about working at Clear Accountancy for me is the people. We have a friendly and supportive team who help to create a great day to day atmosphere and adds an extra level of enjoyment to the job.
